Investigators in the SAIL are deeply committed to providing hands-on mentorship and professional development to students spanning different stages of training. This includes undergraduates, post-bacs looking to gain experience for graduate school, graduate students, interns, and post-doctoral fellows. We provide numerous opportunities to obtain training and experience with clinical research, as well as the conduct of psychiatric and neuropsychological assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Alumni from the SAIL have successfully authored and presented research projects and have gone on to complete graduate training and fellowships in a variety of health disciplines.
Graduates of SAIL have gone on to:
-
Denver Health Medical Center

Post-doctoral fellows can apply to work within the SAIL through two different funding mechanisms: NCPTSD and Ci2i. They will have the opportunity to author research products from several completed and ongoing studies, provide mentorship to graduate students and research assistants who plan to apply to graduate school, and continue clinical training and service delivery. Opportunities to forge collaborations within the National Center for PTSD, the Center for Innovation to Implementation, and Stanford Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences are plentiful and strongly encouraged. Postdoctoral fellows within SAIL have also demonstrated a strong track record of successfully obtaining VA Career Development Awards.
