Professional info

Anna Teague is a fourth-year student in the clinical psychology PhD program at Palo Alto University with a neuropsychology emphasis.  She received her undergraduate degree in Biopsychology and Neuroscience from the University of California at Davis.  While at UC Davis, she conducted research on novel rehabilitation techniques for stroke victims with aphasia, and completed an honors thesis examining implicit semantic activation training for aphasia.  She is currently a project manager for the pediatric Sport Concussion Study at Palo Alto University.  Anna plans to use data from this study for her dissertation, which examines the use of assessments to measure effort during testing with children.  She is also a member of the Behavioral Research and Assessment in Neuropsychology lab (Dr. Rayna Macher, PI), and of the Center for the Study and Treatment of Anxiety in Youth lab (Dr. Robert Friedberg, PI) at Palo Alto University.

In the Substance and Anxiety Intervention Lab Anna is working under the mentorship of Adrienne Heinz, PhD, conducting neuropsychological and psychiatric assessments as part of a randomized controlled study examining the impact of a mobile, neuroscience-based cognitive remediation intervention for Veterans with comorbid PTSD and alcohol use disorder.  Anna’s research interests include acquired brain injuries, validity testing, cognitive rehabilitation, assistive technologies, and dissemination and implementation of evidence-based practices.

Anna’s clinical interests include neuropsychological assessment, civilian reintegration issues, using technology to improve productivity and quality of life, and program evaluation and development.  Last year she worked with Veterans in the Assistive Technology Center and Neuropsychological Assessment and Intervention Clinic at VA Palo Alto.  This year Anna is conducting assessments and psychotherapy with community outpatients and elementary-aged children at the Community Health Awareness Council in Mountain View.
